WHAT TO EXPECT

WHAT TO EXPECT

Our strength lies in our teamwork, our experience, and our commitment to excellence. We know that legal representation can be a daunting process, which is why we make it as seamless an experience as possible for you. This is what to expect when you contact us:

  • Intake – You will talk with an Intake Specialist. They will ask you a few general questions to make sure we can help you. If we cannot help you, we will provide you with other resources for help. Expect this call to take about 5 minutes. After you speak with an Intake Specialist, you will schedule a Discovery Session with a Client Relations Specialist.

  • Discovery Session – This is where you begin to tell your story and we help you determine the best option for you. We will propose an agenda for the call, will ask you for details about your situation, find out your goals and provide you with some options. The Discovery Session is not with an attorney. Our law firm is different because our attorneys focus on doing work for existing clients instead of spending time in consultations. This allows the attorneys to focus on the most important part of their job…your case. We will extend the same courtesy to you when you become a client. You can expect this video meeting or call to last approximately 30 minutes. After you hire us, our Client Relations Specialist will check on you periodically to see if you are pleased with your representation or if there is something we can be doing better.

  • Pre-Client Needs Assessment – When you take the step to hire TR Law, you will immediately set an appointment with our Managing Attorney. The Managing Attorney will briefly go over the facts of your case and what you hope to accomplish. Your budget in relation to your goals will be discussed. You will be paired with the right Attorney and Legal Team members during this call. You can expect this call to last about 15 minutes.

  • Client Needs Assessment – The Attorney responsible for your case will review all your documentation and the notes the Team has gathered. This meeting will be spent discussing the background of your case, developing your case strategy and answering your legal questions. This is really where your representation swings into high gear. This meeting typically lasts anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on your situation.

  • Representation – You will work with the Attorney Responsible for your case. You may work with other attorneys from time to time or see that other attorneys had input on your case. Your Legal Pod consists of a Paralegal and a Legal Assistant. We have a dedication to financial responsibility throughout your case, so we use the most cost efficient Team Member to do what needs to be done. You will not see your Attorney (with their hourly rate) mailing a document or making copies. Throughout your representation, you will talk strategy and goal adjustments with your Team to stay on the same page.

  • Billing Department – Our Billing Department will speak with you at the start of your representation, then will check in periodically to answer any questions. You are free to contact Billing at any time with questions or concerns. Your Fee Agreement will outline both your responsibility to the Firm and the Firm’s responsibility to you as far as payment is concerned.

  • Case Closing – When your case is done, you will be transferred back to Client Relations where it all began. We hope you will give feedback on your experience and then the Billing Department will close your case and refund any funds remaining in your account.

*This may sound like a complicated process compared to how other attorneys do it when you call their office. We are not right for every client and not every client is not right for Tibbott & Richardson. We found that taking the time in the beginning to make sure we understand your goals and you clearly understand the possibilities saves a lot of wasted time, money, and frustration down the road. You will have a better experience and a better understanding of your situation so you can be an active partner in your representation, instead of feeling like you do not know what is happening. This is part of our commitment to clear communication.
